The Heart Of The Matter

One of the joys of a long naturopathic medical practice is seeing my colleagues and friends continue to stretch the boundaries of innovative health care.

Dr. Martin Milner has been doing that since he graduated from NCNM (National College of Naturopathic Medicine) in 1983.

Besides his role as Professor of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Medicine at the college, Dr. Milner is also the CEO and medical director of the Center for Natural Medicine.

As an advocate for medical students and improved education, Dr. Milner is partnering with Dr. Jeremy Mikolai to launch NICVM, the Naturopathic Institute of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Medicine. Their goal is offering post-graduate medical education to ND’s leading toward eventual board certification in Naturopathic Cardiology.

These doctors and others are the voice of reason for cardiac patients who need more than they’re getting from surgeons and drug companies.

They change lives by showing a naturopathic approach to the whole person as related to their medical issues. Instead of a quick fix, or pharmaceutical regime, Dr. Milner brings a deeper understanding to his patients.

Those with cardiac issues may feel their time is running out. With Dr. Milner, time is on their side. The 30,000 patients he’s seen in his practice agree.
